Wellington... Giant Jenga and Sub-zero temperatures

Cold cold and cold... accurately describes Wellington during our visit! Met up with Achim to be introduced to the town and scene. First evening down at the local pub near the “Hanky” where we were staying, on a friend's driveway in the centre of town. Rabbit stew and a giant game of Jenga...

City tour courtesy of Achim , up the cable car into the botanic gardens, around the streets, cafes and waterfront. Wellington sort of reminds me of Oban in Scotland... Big night out on Friday, meeting more friends of friends, then met up with some more friends from Vietnam, Hanh and her family, who I used to work with in Ha Long Bay and is now studying in Wellie... her son, Duc, who's 6, has the cutest Kiwi accent!

Oh yes - Dad, they still have trollybusses!!! For more pics, click here!
