Japanese love vending machines, and they are everywhere. Go walking in the mountains, and yes, they'll be a vending machine there. Typically there's the drinks vending machines, but also hot food (the ubiquitous noodles, fries and other batter coated delights), cigarettes (love the “Winston” brand bodybuilder), bunches of flowers for the wife, and even in restaurants where instead of a menu, you purchase your meal ticket from a machine, then give to the waitress. Still yet to find one of those fabled panty vending machines though...
