closed due to avalanche danger, then on to Milford Sound, a lovely drive down a one way road for about 90km. Camped first night to be awoken in the morning with a tour bus arrival and seemingly hundreds of people taking pictures of the lake next to where we'd camped. 
And the snow! Just a few days ago we'd been sunbathing, and now we're driving through snow... fabulous scenery, and the van did just fine. More pictures here...
